Things in the tech world have seen an unimaginable magnitude of change in the past decade, and with that, we all know that mobile phones have emerged as clear winners in the race. Companies around the globe are investing their resources on ways to make the use of mobile internet an even bigger success.
New Mobile Internet Technologies
While we’ll never know what’s going to happen till it does, there are some strong predictions and protocols being put in place that will see the following trends take place in the times to come:
Mobiles Will Take Over Mainstream Desktop Browsing
As developing economies show an inclined use of mobile internet, sources have it that around 3 billion people will become a part of this shift in the next two years. While this revolution occurs, there will be a definite make-over for the end-users’ browsing experience. Some possibilities include the reduced use of browsers like IE, Google Chrome and Firefox, as well as the overall layout of websites to start looking more like mobile apps.
HTML5 Is The Way To Go
The leading-edge technologies for the web will be led by HTML5, experts believe. However, it’s also evident that there’s time for this idea to be absorbed by everyone, and if there’s a chance of its success, that’s going to happen only after the traditional use of PC’s is shadowed over completely by smartphones (and tablets).
Interlinked Links Will Be Broken
As the generation seeks more seamlessness in applications, there’s a high possibility that the ease with which we used to browse around the enormous web will be reduced, as web navigation dies down rapidly with the growth of mobile internet. Sites will start working more as silos of content, traffic driving will be frowned upon and the online advertisement industry might never get to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
4th Generation (4-G) Broadband
The concept of this 3G successor has been around since a while, and the reason it is the need of the hour is because of its capability to eliminate spoke-and-hub downfall of prior versions, resulting into higher speeds of data transfer at 100 M bit/s (10 times faster than the 3G). With its two deemed formats, the LTE and WiMax Release 2 are working up on improved versions upon the 3G. But we aren’t fully there yet. You’ll know when it comes, it’s hard to miss!
5th Generation (5-G) Broadband
Unbelievable isn’t it? 4G hasn’t even made its way in, and there’s already talk about the bigger version! It’s something that doesn’t even paint a clear picture when talked about yet, but all the companies like Samsung and Huawei are already up on their feet, rushing to indulge themselves in this commotion.
Much-developed London doesn’t have a fully functional 4G yet, let alone operate with 5G. Even if there’s a chance that this service could help downloading an entire movie within a second one day, there’s no way it’s happening before the word hits the 2020 mark.
